DENTAL SERVICES

Cleaning and fluoride treatments are provided at the Health Center for children ages 4 to 18 years and still in school. More extensive treatment (fillings and extractions) is provided at the main Health Department in Saginaw.

HEARING & VISION SCREENING

Clinics are held at varying times throughout the year for children through the 12th grade. This free clinic screens Head Start children, re-screens children that have failed testing in school, or others that present a difficulty in hearing or vision.

Kindergarten registrants are screened the first week in May on an annual basis. Scheduling of  appointments begins in April. Advance notification will be listed in local newspapers.

FRANK N. ANDERSEN REGIONAL EYE FOUNDATION

Free eye examinations and glasses (if needed) are provided for adults and children that have no eye care insurance. Doctors provide the services at the Rehmann Health Center once a month from the Institute or our local eye care providers.

PERSONAL HEALTH SERVICES

Some of the family planning program services offered: physical exams, pregnancy tests, birth control information and supplies, testing and treatment of infections. If needed, referrals can be made to other agencies for counseling or treatment.

Refills & Pregnancy Tests

2nd & 4th Monday (no appointment necessary)

9:00-11:15 A.M. & 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. on 2nd Monday

9:00-10:30 A.M. on the 4th Monday

All services provided are kept confidential. 

FLU & PNEUMONIA SHOTS

Flu shots are given each fall with the first clinic specified for high risk only.

Pneumonia shots are available throughout the year.

Clinic dates and times for Flu shots are announced in local newspapers with the fee for the current year. Medicare covers the cost for Flu & Pneumonia.

WELL WATER TESTING

Well water test bottles are available at the Health Center. Testing is done at the Saginaw County Department of Public Health on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Call the Health Center for further information and cost.

TEMPORARY FOOD LICENSES

Temporary food licenses can be obtained Monday through Friday (Thursdays A.M. Only) at the Health Center, and must be completed and mailed with check to the Saginaw Health Department, 1600 N. Michigan Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan, 48602, Attn: Environmental Health. Due to State rules changing, parties should submit request no later than 30 days from the date of the event.

HEALTHY FUTURES CLINIC – On Hold

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN

The Rehmann Health Center maintains a loan of wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, canes, crutches, etc. Equipment is loaned for 3o days and a small rental fee applies beyond that.

OPERATIVE EXPENSES & FUNDING

The Rehmann Health Center is responsible for maintenance, utilities, insurance, and the salary of the Facility Director. Funding for this program is realized from: Chesaning Area United Appeal, United Way pledges, different of the townships, and through receiving donations such as Memorials or Honorariums. Rehmann Health Service a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
