Our Pastor
From Pastor Mark:
It’s good to be back!
After being on medical leave for six weeks it’s good to be back,….. with a new back. Well, maybe not exactly new, but at least an improved one. I am feeling very good and the problems that I had with my legs before the surgery have disappeared. I praise God for his healing mercy through all of the channels that it has been worked. I want to take this moment to thank everyone in our church family for all the prayers, support, care, cards, food, phone calls, visits, gifts, special favors and love that you have given to me and Jane during this time. I am on my way to healing and wellness. I am sure that it is due in part to all the support and care you have showered on me. It is a blessing to serve as your pastor.
We have all heard it said, “confession is good for the soul.” And not only do I want a healthy body but also a healthy soul. So here is my confession. In over thirty years of ministry, allowing others to minister to me has not always been something that was easy for me to do. I suppose I could use the excuse that it is because I am a pastor and I have become so accustomed to helping others. Or maybe it is just me. But in the end, I know that being in ministry, whether as a pastor or a lay person, means sharing in task of helping and allowing others the opportunity of receiving the blessings that come through giving and serving. All of the ways that you have ministered to me during this time of healing and recovery is something that I will never forget.
Thank you and God bless you,
Pastor Mark
